Release: Small Business Endorses Kennedy for U.S. Senate

BATON ROUGE, LA —The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today endorsed John Kennedy in Louisiana’s U.S. Senate race.

The NFIB is the country’s leading advocate for small-business owners. It supports candidates and policies that will help small businesses grow, leading to new jobs and a stronger economy.

“Small business owners in Louisiana trust John Kennedy to be their voice in the U.S. Senate,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan. “Small businesses need relief from high taxes and excessive government regulation. Kennedy’s views on the key issues align with our members’ priorities, and he will be a strong advocate for small business owners in the United States Senate.”

“As State Treasurer, John Kennedy made sure that the public funds were wisely managed,” said NFIB Louisiana State Director Dawn Starns. “That’s the sensibility that small business owners want to see brought to Washington. Kennedy participated in our candidate’s forum this summer and demonstrated a great understanding of what small businesses need to succeed. We hope to see him serving in the U.S. Senate next year.”

Kennedy said, “I appreciate the NFIB and its many small-business owners for their endorsement. Too many of our businesses are struggling to grow because of high taxes and burdensome regulations. We need Senators who understand that supporting small businesses leads to jobs and growth, and I will vote to create opportunities that will lead to a healthier economy and more work for the people.”

The NFIB joins a growing list of organizations supporting Louisiana values that have endorsed Kennedy. He has also received the support of the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association, the National Rifle Association, the National Right to Life and the American Conservative Union.

Release: ST. Tammany GOP Endorses Kennedy in U.S. Senate Race

Baton Rouge, LA-- At its regular monthly meeting on Nov. 22, the Republican Parish Executive Committee (RPEC) of St. Tammany Parish voted to endorse State Treasurer John Kennedy in the race for United States Senate.
The RPEC heard from most Republican candidates for the seat at its August meeting, and finding a number of well-qualified candidates declined to issue an endorsement. With the race narrowed to Kennedy and a lone Democrat, the RPEC revisited the issue last week and overwhelmingly voted to endorse Kennedy.
"Quite a few good Republicans offered themselves for service in this seat in the November primary, and the voters gave a strong nod to Treasurer Kennedy," said RPEC Chair Larry Frieman.  "Mr. Kennedy has a distinguished record of service to the people of Louisiana during his time in Baton Rouge, and we are fully confident in his dedication to the principles that reflect our party's values. We know he will serve us well in Washington."
The RPEC is a statutory body consisting of 19 members, with one from each Parish Council district and five At-Large.  The current members were elected last March.

The Hill: In Louisiana Senate race, John Kennedy is the only candidate conservatives can trust

Americans across the country and especially in my home state of Louisiana are still celebrating the results of an historic Election Day. Republicans maintained our majorities in the Senate and the House, and we will finally have an ally in the White House in Donald Trump who will help us get this country back on the right track.

But at home, conservatives still have one more race to win:  We have to elect Republican state Treasurer John Kennedy to the United States Senate. The differences between John and his liberal opponent, Foster Campbell, couldn’t be clearer, and only John can be counted on to be a consistent conservative voice for the people of Louisiana.
